Pakistan, Sargodha: Heavy Rain hits the Punjab on Wednesday
leaving various city areas inundated causing serious problems for the
commuters.
The rain started at 11:50 AM and residents from various
areas said, adding that the rain was heavy and within minutes turned majority
of the roads into mini ponds. Rainwater inundated many areas.
Met office said a western disturbance was affecting upper
parts of the country and expected to persist with occasional gaps till next 24
hours. They said another strong westerly wave was likely to enter country from
Sunday (evening/night).
The Met office predicted that rain was expected at scattered
places in Islamabad, Rawalpindi, Gujranwala and Lahore divisions. They said
isolated rains could hit Sargodha division during next 24 hours while dry
weather was expected in other parts of Punjab.
