Punjab Police will start Emergency Alert System (EAS) in collaboration with Ufone

Punjab, Lahore (web news): The decision has been done by taking under consideration the overall security situation of country and EAS will be launched soon.

Punjab Police Pakistan and the cellular company Ufone launched an Emergency Alert System that will operate at just a single click to make the smooth progress of Police Department because schools had been remained close in throughout Punjab for security purposes.



The best thing about this facility is that this service is free of any cost, so, there would be least chances of happening of any terror that would be beg to be excused due to shortage of balance. In addition to all this, this service would work on any cell phone not only on branded phones that are using Ufone Network.

In order to get benefit from this facility, the schools will have to register their Ufone numbers with just basic details. The forms are available online or at all Police stations of Punjab.

Once the number is registered, any alarm generated, would alert the Police, containing details such as the name of the school and the person who initiated the alarm and location.
