Pakistan, Islamabad: Allama Iqbal Open University (AIOU) will launch two-year face- to-face Master Degree program in TV production in February 2015 said VC AIOU in a session of IET.
AIOU will instigate Masters in TV production to assemble the necessities of working journalists and to help further strengthening the professional skill. All the necessary arrangement regarding to launching the program have been completed, said by the Vice-Chancellor of AIOU, Dr. Shahid Siddiqui while addressing the opening session of 5-day long script-writing workshop on radio and television production that was arranged by the University’s Institute of Educational Technology (IET) for the faculty of Arabic and Islamic Studies.
Eligible persons will teach the degree class and make the degree useful and effective. This program is being launched for the first time from a Public Sector Educational Institution in the field of specialized media.
The registration for the admission in program will be started from Spring Semester 2015. Initially, it will be started in Islamabad, then for the sake of feedback, it would be extended to remote cities of the country.
The script-writing workshop is a part of the ongoing skill-based training series.
Dr. Siddiqui aimed that the professional skills of employees will be improved to provide best services to students; it will prove as a cause of enhancement of the professional development capabilities in the students. With the theoretical study, appropriate and related professional training courses would be arranged for time-to-time for the students.
Vice Chancellor Dr. Siddiqui gave a great appreciation to the role of Media in encouragement of education across the country.
Media is now one of the major ‘Social Institution’ that plays a vital role in strengthening society and disseminating knowledge.
