Islamabad: PTI Chairman Imran Khan announced to end sit-ins

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan said that he would finish his 68-day sit-in if Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif honestly declared all of his assets.

This announcement of winding up the sit-in at D-chowk follows a turn in Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf focus on the resignation of Nawaz Government. PTI is continuously insisting on the government to announce re-election over allegation of rigging in 2013 general elections. While addressing the participants of the sit-in, Imran Khan said “I will call off the sit-in if you, Mr. Nawaz Sharif, are ready to declare your ‘real assets’ before the nation”. He further said that “I believe Nawaz Sharif may himself not be aware of all of his huge assets in and outside the country”.
Addressing to PPP chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, he said: “I will recognize you as leader if you ask your uncle PM Nawaz Sharif and your father Asif Ali Zardari to show their ‘Real Assets’ before the nation which they got after a lot of ‘hard work’. If you can’t do this favor then I will perform this task.” He said Mr. Zardari was questioning about the funding of the PTI’s sit-in and rallies. “PPP spent a huge amount for its fresh jalsa in Karachi. That amount will be enough to continue the PTI sit-in for three years”.He further said that, “We just use a container and a sound system” and the PTI’s supporters participated in gatherings without any pressure.

He demanded to decrease the petroleum and electricity prices in his addressing to the supporters. He added that My supporters…it is possible that in the future, someone among you might be new chairman of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf.
